SYNOPSIS

The Fraternite de Justice et Liberte, meant to be the precursor to the new Justice League Europe, gets a low-profile assignment guarding museum diamonds from the possibility of super-powered threats in Paris. Meanwhile, Parisian police are off looking for terrorists who they suspect have planted a bomb somewhere in the city. Firestorm goes off to help, leaving Crimson Fox, Ice Maiden, Amazing Man, and the newly demonized Blue Devil to hold the fort. During that time, Ice Maiden reveals herself to be the new Mist in disguise and promptly dispatches the present members of the JLE, Blue Devil included.

First to perish is the unfortunate Crimson Fox, who just ran a successful come-on line by Amazing Man, but who quite quickly falls before the villain's mist? Whatever. Next, it's AM's turn but he's not going down without a fight so he reaches for the nearest stone wall in order to absorb its properties, but much to his dismay, finds out that the wall is, in fact, dyed glass. Mist blows him in half with a big "BOOM" from a large handgun. Well, you know BD's not going to stand for that, so in an impulsive, furious rage, he torches the place with his trident trying to get at his foe, only to set off the sprinkler system which Misty has filled with Holy Water. And of course, since he's part demon, it melts him to da bone! Mist escapes before Firestorm returns and survives the bomb she left to take him out.
